Established five decades ago, the Imel Company has become synonymous with the highest standards in innovative design, construction of buildings and entire complexes, as well as maintenance and management of the real estate, thanks to its huge rental portfolio and its clients, for whom the company builds tailor-made facilities. 

Imel Group d.o.o. was founded in 1981 as a mixed joint-stock company engaged in engineering, design, planning and construction of facilities for well-known developers and customers, as well as the market. Apart from the aforementioned, Imel also works on research and development of new locations. Over the past 40 years, as part of its core activities, the company has built some of the most important business and residential complexes and has greatly contributed to the development of Novi Beograd.

Imel Properties d.o.o. was founded in 2010, as a logical next step and an addition to the existing company structure, to manage and maintain real estate owned by IMEL companies. In the last 12 years of its operations, Imel Properties has developed into a pillar of business that manages and maintains more than 18,000 square metres of business space for various purposes.

In the construction of office buildings, Imel gives a contemporary form and structure to Novi Beograd, while constantly advancing this part of the capital and increasing its range of business and residential facilities on offer. Some of the company’s most renowned buildings have become everyday landmarks for people in Belgrade, such as the Bežanijska Kosa quarter in Block 51, which the company started, and several business and residential buildings in Block 21, including the Imel office building (Bank Of China), McDonald’s drive-in and Head Office, MPC office building, Societe Generale Bank’s (now OTP Bank) main office and back office building, department stores Kika (now Emezzeta) and Merkur (now Okov), the Green Escape Complex and others.
